Gujarat itinerary suggestions/Dwarka & Sasan Gir accommodation?
Planning For Dwarka-Porbunder-Veraval-Somnath-sasan Gir-Diu-Bhavnagar-Ahmedabad in December 2007.
Any recommendations on accommodations particularly at Dwarka and Sasan Gir? Suggestions on ... must ... or ......Not to miss...places Thanks Last edited by machadinha : Jul 7th, 2007 at 21:58. Reason: moved to create own thread |

unmissable in Gujurat
Can't recommend accommodation since I haven't been to Gujurat for a few years but I can recommend 2 unmissable sites -the Jain temple sites at Girnar Hill near Junagadh, and Shatrunjaya near Palitana.
It's easy to slot in the latter between Diu and Bhavnagar. Visit at least one-you won't regret it! |

Second Junagadh, not to be missed (the hill is an arduous climb btw, start early in the morning). Take two days for the town at the very least, it has more unmissable sights, including its dilapidated fort and stunning baolis. See also http://www.vegetarian-restaurants.ne...t/Junagadh.htm, or my pic with some chat at http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...55/ppuser/5654 .
