Day's trip around Baroda

Hi,

I'm visiting baroda in Early December and would like to know a few options to visit, near baroda. Places that are an hour or two drive away from the city. I've a grandmother who would not be able to sit for long in the car.

I would prefer visiting natural habitats, like water bodies, forests, forts, villages, etc.

We were ther in March. We made a daytrip to Champaner. There you can see the old city and some mosques around it. From here it is a short ride to Manchu. With a reliable cable-car you go uphill to the pelgrim site.

From Baroda :

You can go to Champaner - it's about a hour's drive. Old Mughal forts etc. Also a world heritage site
For Temples - Pavagadh is just next door to Champaner
For Waterbodies - You can visit Sukhi Dam or Jambughoda Reservoir - both nice places to visit.
For heritage experience - visit the Jambughoda resort. Run by the royal family of Jambughoda it's a nice enough place for a weekend visit.

For larger water bodies - you can visit Sardar sarovar dam on the river narmada.
