Bungalows Jallandhar or Goghla in Diu?
Hi there,
I know there is some passion going on here about Diu, and in two weeks I'll see the place for myself! I've read about some tourist cottages in Jallandhar Beach in Diu town and also some on the goghla side. Has anyone stayed there? Do you know what they're like or the contact (in case reservation is needed). Otherwise, what advice of accommodation would you have for me in Diu town (not outside)? Cheers, Hugo |

diu..bungalows...
the govt. guest house cottages at jallandhar have since shut down(actually now is a circuit house for govt. officials). There r no bungalow type hotels at Ghogala.
Around this time of the year hotel accomodation is pretty easy to find in diu and so u could always have a look around once u reach before deceiding. Ghogala has a great beach, however is pretty far from town and can be a little too quiet and devoid of life at times. There r many options. I have a hotel at nagoa beach...The Resort Hoka...its a good place. Am travelling around at present myself and hope to be there mid-feb. Any other queries about diu or how to get there--just ask. |

Hey, Indiawise, thanks for the info and the tips. Your resort sounds like a great place from what I can see, but I really should stay in Diu town. Speaking of which, do you know if it would be too difficult to rent a house/room/flat for three months in the town? I've got no idea at all how that works in Diu...

Yeah, those cottages on Jallandar beach did look nice but we weren't very convincing as government officials.
![]() Hugo, check out Heranca Goesa where we stayed a couple of weeks ago. |

sounds good...
Heranca Goesa, sounds great and the location couldn't get better if u want to stay in diu town and in an area that still retains the charm..and quiet.
I know the family and they are nice people. Besides they r good cooks...so u could always ask them to cook u some portuguese dishes..bibinca for example.etc..etc.. I think they cook on order |

Cheers for that, Indiawise! Renting a house is indeed the best option for me. Sorry to bother you all the time, but do you know anyone with a house for rent, or any particular place/means to find out?
Plus, I've heard of the excellent seafood restaurant at your hotel, so we may meet sometime soon ... |
