Bhuj
Quote:
Here is the answer on your comment on the picture. This was our first visit to Bhuj so I cannot compare the present situation with the pre-earthquake. A lot of restoration has been done. As far as I understand from older information it is less picturesque. For us it was a good city to stay and a perfect base for trips around. As you see my travel journal ( see link below) is completed upon Bhuj, in the next entry I will write more about this subject. |

Many thanks. For others, this was the pic that inspired the comment: http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...8/limit/recent
I may be back on this later with reminiscences on how it was (or I may well not); will check your journal update.

Please post. That is a journey I wish to do in August 2008. Gujarat is underrated as a tourist destination, perhaps because it is dry (no alcohol)

I was also on pre-quake Bhuj, and will be interested to hear how it has changed. I do have some photos of the old days; I will see if I can get them scanned and upload them. Wasn't it a pretty little town?
