Don't think so ..... the Aravalli is the only hill range that extends well into Gujarat ..... and thus Mt. Abu in Rajasthan might be the closest Hill Station to where you will be. Somebody will be along to give you a few weekend getaway from the capital ideas soon ... I'm sure.

From Baroda the range is slightly larger - You can visit Jambughoda and the surrounding areas of Sukhi dam and Chhota Udepur. Head more down South - Dangs would be just mystical around this time... you check out the pics on my fotogallery.

Saputara is the only hill station in Gujarat.
Not sure how to reach from Baroda. Try searching. Here is the Gujarat tourism website. Gujarat Tourism Ronak. |

Saputara is a good hill station.... it is supposed to be a abode ofdeity of serpent...and you can still find a lot of Snake charmers....it is very easily accessbile from Surat...and therefore I would advice you to go to Surat and then take the road for Saputara....
Although Gujarat doesnot have any other hill station in strict sense of term....but then just across the state you can find many such places .....Mount Abu is a bit far away...bu try Jawhar...again accessible from Surat or Vapi....it is a wonderful and virgin hill station...truly off the beaten track...also you may try the hilltop of Girnar hill in Junagadh to your liking... also in Vadodara district there are very good hilly and verdant areas...though not exactly a hill station...I went to a village called Dhaniya Umarwa....it had absolutely nothing over there...to stay but has a wonderful lake to boat around and a temple where one may sleep in the night |

Mt Abu although farther is worth the effort of visiting for the superb and unmissable Dilwara Temples.
