Alcohol at Ahmadabad railway station

Hi guys,

Here’s my situation.
I am NRI living and working in China, and visiting India for 30 days. My flight will land at Delhi and from there I am catching a train (Rajdhani) to Ahmadabad. I will be up with 2 bottles of liquor.

Now I know there won’t be any problem at Delhi  but I am not sure about Ahmadabad the situation at railway station.

Moreover I don’t have any permit for Alcohol and I don’t wish to buy any (2 bottles will be okay for me); I am just an ordinary NRI and that’s it!

Good one jaggudada, But It would be Illegal to drink and sleep in Indian Railways! I guess now they should use Don't drink and sleep instead of Don't Drink and Drive slogans!

You'll be fine. Holidays are over, elections are over, Uttarayan is over. They've gone back to sleep.
Wherever you go, there you are. And if you're traveling the world, you're just farther.

Just kidding......Anyways...I travelled with my family from New Delhi to Baroda (Vadodara) (Gujarat) in the summer of 2009 and no one asked to check our baggage...neither in the train nor after getting off at Baroda.
