Worth visiting in October?
On another thread I have going somebody replied to a general point that Goa would be very quiet in October and not much would be open.
I am wondering then whether to skip Goa and head for the back waters of Kerala instead. What do you think? What is open in October in Goa,where do you recommend staying, I saw on the tele about Jimi's teepee village near Baga Beach - anyone stayed there? worth seeing in October? |

Two rather different options
much as I love Goa, if this is an either/or choice you shouldn't miss Kerala and the backwaters. You could always stay a few days at Varkala for some beach time and I would imagine it would also be fairly quiet in October.October is pre-season in Goa but the weather should be pretty good -- perhaps an occasional shower -- and everything will be green. While the 'beach shack' season doesn't really begin until late november, a popular beach like Baga will have enough people around and places open to keep you occupied. I don't know anything about the teepee village, but they have a website which might give you a bit more info: http://www.goanet.com/text/places/teepee.htm m2 |
