Mid April is a bad time to visit Goa.

It is very hot there.

I must say you should visit Old Goa and also dudh sagar waterfall.

Since your trip is very short, anything additional if suggested will be of no use.

Palolem Beach

Hello, my husband and l are going to be staying in Palolem Beach for 8 days starting Friday week. Do you have any suggestions on activities or sight seeing that we should do? i am keen to go for walks and love history.

Also, l know the Anjuna market is a must to visit but l was wondering if there were any good markets in Palolem area as well?

By mid April, Dudhsagar will be almost dried up if not entirely!

goa

If you have just two days, it depends on what you are going to goa for. if you are looking to just relax with your husband i can strongly reccomend south goa over north goa.

The south is more catered for the mature traveller where as the north is party capital.

I stayed at south goa a place called South Colva beach (locally called Sernabatim Beach) which has the fourth longest beach in the world. You could walk up and down for hours on this very wide strech of beach and you have a wide choice of places to stay ranging from 5* to basic geusthouses.

shibani.kurup... 16 places in 19 days!

Do you have any time to actually take in any of the local color?

I just remember trips where all I did was go between destinations and I felt like I didn't really go anywhere.

Totally agree on that one!
..unless you're up for a "fill up my camera with as many pictures i can" kinda journey, i would suggest to choose only two or three places max when in Goa, especially when you say you'll be there for two days.

The year before last, I made the mistake of trying to see everything in Goa, all at once, even as I had some meetings to attend.
This time I'll only focus on Palolem, the one place I adored, plus one or two places in north Goa and a drive around Panjim.
Savor the best that Goa has to offer!

In Goa there are two bus tours, which cover north and south in two days. These tours are very popular with indian families. They cover all the places you mentioned exactly in the same order as your above reply #5.
