Where to stay and what to do in Calangute in July.

Hi!
Me and my brother will stay in Goa from 8. July to the 17. Our plan is to stay in Calangute but we have not booked any rooms jet. We are more tourist than backpackers and would like to have a nice place to stay. Anyone that can recomend something?

We know that it is the monsoon period in Goa know and it will not be a good idea to stay at the beach all day. Anyone with suggestion of what others thing to do in Goa?

Watch the rain...
Watch the roads if you are on the bike...
Visit the temples and churches.. (if this interests you)
Walk up the forts...

Well, cant think of anything that you can do when its raining in Goa.. because, it rains and rains and rains...

Best recommendation : Pick up a book, hot coffee.. and catch up on reading

While it rains you can still take a walk on the beach & get wet.

If interested in trekking you can trek to Dudhsagar waterfall. Search Indiamike for more info. on Dudhsagar. There are no. of threads.
