Depends on -
Time of the year
Weekend or not
Duration that you want to hire
condition of bike
your bargaining power

i ususally get a good condition activa (scooter) for 200 bucks .. if i take it for 3-4 days.

Bike should be - 250

Are you going to the south or north?

i think you should be able to get good prices then. If you are going to take a bike for 3-4 weeks... it is even possible that you might get it as low as 150-180 per day.

You will have to bargain a lot & also maybe pay upfront for the whole amount.

You can try getting a bike from Inside Colmar Hotel on Colva beach, or there are other guys near colva beach also.

That was from a shack owner on Vagator Beach, just ask around, March is fairly quiet so depending when you are going and the demand should also determine the cost.

It all depends on how many days you are renting the bike for.

Longer rental = lower pricing

There is another guy (sorry, can't remember his name) in Vagator that does rentals and some taxi services. He's not on the beach, but rather in "town", down the road from the Mango Tree restaurant and bar, near the bus stand. I think his family runs a small stand that sells sundries next to the bike rentals, so ask around. Last April, I think we paid about 100 rps/day for a scooter.

Found the Goa Traffic Police Cell Report for 2007 in "O Heraldo". Interesting to read, in particular the statistics of accidents and the fining policy.

Guess, I´ll wear a helmet on my Honda for the first time in Goa.
