| Hey guys, I did a search on the net to see what the temperatures are in May for the cities above but got a varied response so I figured I'd bug you guys in case you have experience being in either or both of these places in May. Obviously it's a summer month but is it that bad? My parents are going to both places. I think they will be ok in Cochin cuz' the hotel/car/etc is a/c but I'm worried how they will sit on a beach in Goa in May if the temps are bad. How bad does it get in Goa? Should I advise them to cancel their trip to Goa? Riya |

| Member | Riya Its hot and full of annoying Indian kids & their parents on summer break. If possible avoid the very touristy beaches like Calangute/Baga. If possible ask them to head further North or to the sout (Colva & Beyond). Again if you or your parents are Indian you might not have the problems some of us do. Have a safe trip!

| Oldhippie - !?Riya - Goa will be hot hot hot in May Ther's plenty of places to sit in the shade tho , and i reckon your parents will be fine so long as they keep rehydrated. It would be a pity if they missed out on Goa as it's brilliant! It all depends on how they handle heat i suppose. ![]() |

| Member | Fat Just my opinion on Goa in May. I live in India & spent a month of May in Goa You are right about it being hot...but the heat is not that bad. Goa is great in the monsoons..Its a great romantic getaway. Bill |
