Want to buy a motorcycle in Goa
Hi,
am looking for a cheap motorcycle, a 100 or 150 CC would be OK, can be and look old, but must be technically in a good condition. I got an offer for a Honda Kinetic Scooter for 7000Rs, but I'd rather go for a bike with big wheels because of the potholes. Where can I find one in Goa (staying in Anjuna right now), or do you know someone who wants to sell their bike? Thanks a lot in advance! |

Honda Kinetic Scooter Oh that was the 1st bike i bought ,a heap of rubbish ,it used to eat more oil than petrol.
Your best bet to buy a bike is just ask around . At the end of the season you can pick up bikes really cheap .Always see them for sale in Arambol. You cant have the bike in your name if you are not Indian . |

Thanks mate,
got two offers for 100cc "big wheels" for around 10000Rs now, plus a totally crappy scooter for 4000Rs, will keep asking around. Any motorbike shops that are good in the area? Best regards ![]() |

Peacefulplanet .Dont go for the crappy scooter ,sounds like you are not anyway.
I have only noticed the Honda showrooms in Goa.There must be motorbike shops in panjim, if you mean buy a 2nd hand one from them. There are so may places that repair motorbikes ,maybe ask in there. Are you Indian ? if not you are going to have to do what i have done, find a Goan you trust to have his name on the bike . |

Put "motorbike shop" in Goa into Google and read that comes up.
Buy the local paper there, a lot of guys put theirs for sale in that, but asking around is the best idea. |

Out of curiosity, how much is a brand new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in India. What price am I looking at if I want to buy one?

I checked out prices of them in Aussie, and I can get it for AU$7500. Sounds expensive but then I think about if I bought one from India, how much it'd cost to be delivered and all that jazz.

I have to tell you - I rented a beautiful blue Enfield in Benaulim last year - and hated it!!Heavy as, big gas user, never started in the morning ( teams of enthusiastic Indians work on it each with his own theory , and push you up and down the street for ages and worst of all - the bloody gears and brakes are on the wrong side!!! Such fun passing a bus on a mountain pass 2 up and you hit the BRAKE!![]() Swapped it for a new Jap bike (180 cc I think) electric start , tiny thirst and cheap to rent . Did all of Goa and loved it - so that's my advice. ...and get your International License before going - saves a lot of hassle and bribes. |

Doesn't meet the relevant AS and therefore can't get a compliance plate. It would have to be expensively converted and then require an engineers certificate ... not to mention customs hassles and import duties ...

The 350 Thunderbird is closer to 1 lakh on the road.
