There won't be much water flowing at that time of year. I was last there about that kind of time, and the falls were rather disappointing, though the scenery is good, and the walk down to the pool was fun.

You'd be better going there just after the monsoon, really.

Goa to Jog

About 180 kms. Drive south towards Karwar and further down to Kumta. Jog is on the road between Kumta and Shimoga. Not sure about direct bus, but there are busses from Goa (Vasco, panaji) to karwar, and from karwar towards Shimoga.

Thanks Chintu for your reply.
Is it possible to hire a cab for visiting Jog fall from Goa & return the same day. Or is it better using public transport & stay near the fall overnight & return the next day.

"Same Day Return" may not be an option because of the distance. But the bigger question is wether its worth visiting Jog at all at this time of the year. Your Call

Too tiring to make a round trip in one day. Better to stay for a day or two. This is the wrong time of the year to go there, you have to go in September.
