Cool Veronica Guest house/ South Calangute

Hi everyone,

Has anyone stayed in the Veronica guest house recently? i stayed there 6 years ago but i know Goa has changed a lot in this time. It is located in South Calangute which i found to be much quieter than the rest of Baga/Calangute yet, still within walking distance of the busy nightlife! Does South Calangute still hold on to this charm?

Let me know what it is like now...

Thanks

hmmm - rubbish i can deal with (although i find it very inconsiderate that tourists go to another country and litter!!) i just want to be reassured that it hasnt become like Benidorm or Lagana in Zakynthos? full of British louts - drunk all over the place - dont get me wrong i like a good drinking session but i dont like the tourists that get drunk every night and throw up in the gutter and generally embarass our country!

Mostly Indian tourists that are responsible for the litter they tend to just throw it anywhere Apparently it is a bit quiet this year in Goa so i`m sure you will find a peaceful oasis somewhere, have fun and enjoy, 7 weeks left before I go back You will probably see more Sunday dinners being advertised and more bars showing football etc but still a world away from the Costas

You will be shocked that these types of "tourists" are there in plenty in Goa. I meet a couple of them every night here in Calangute.

I was not referring to Brits exclusively. There are many countries who are well represented by these "tourists".
