Vegetarian parents + 1.5 year old son - where to stay?
Hi folks,
The wife & I are in Goa from Jan 4 - 9. We are travelling with our 18 month old son and my vegetarian parents. We were looking for a place to stay that is: 1. Less than Rs. 6000 per night per room 2. Toddler friendly (guess that rules out beach huts) 3. Near vegetarian food places Plus points for being on/near the beach, away from crazily touristy areas, but not too secluded either (guess seclusion will not be an issue in Goa during Jan 4 - 9) I've looked at a lot of threads and almost booked ourselves into Sharanam Green (even though it is smack in the middle of Touristan), 'cos the big-name resorts were way too expensive and the bohemian places seemed too rustic for my toddler. Wanted to check with the Gurus here if there other options I should explore. The wife & I love fish and plan to chill on the beach/pool once we have the standard fort / basilica tours done. We were also planning to visit one of the markets. Thanks in advance! |

Thanks Shank, but rates have been jackd up for the peak season. I checked Cidade's website: Least expensive room during that time is Rs.9000 per night!

Looks like you already made a decision, but the Oceanic hotel between Patnem and Palolem is kid friendly. It's run by a nice english couple and has a pool. Though it's not on the beach, it's near some very scenic beaches.
