Google after reading the OP- this site quoting IANS says that the injured were transporting the explosives.

From this link it appears that one of them has now died, and that it was an own goal.

IF that is the case, it gladdens my stony little heart to see terrorists hoist by their own petard. Literally!

I second that...in fact, I would like to put ALL the terrorist pukes in one big LOCKED room and give them all explosives to blow themselves up. (keys to heaven are optional)

Indeed, but its concerning to see these elements still active. I hope and pray the ongoing festive season is not impacted in anyway. It will be terrible for anything to happen in the middle of Diwali.

"The explosion ripped open the scooter’s dickey. " (from the Herald report).
Ouch! What part of a scooter is that?
It's terrible that this sort of activity is taking place in Goa of course - it gives us all pause for thought. On the bright side, there are now two lunatics a good deal less likely to inflict their beliefs on an innocent population.

What's worrying is that the "authorities" here have no idea as to security.

Yes, I agree. We were in South Goa last year not long before the Bombay bombings. Reading the papers and observing the security presence around the place you could sense that something was not quite right, there was a faint but palpable sense of unease. Watching the security people going about their business at train stations and so on didn't fill me with any sort of confidence that they were on the case in any coherent way and that if they happened to search the right person and come up with a result it would be a complete and utter fluke. These guys and their superiors could do with some serious training.

'Dickey' is the boot.

In a scooter, it would be a small locked compartment.

Smallish inside page news in a couple of newspapers I have read today.

Frankly, I am not happy with the way authorities and the media downplay these incidents when Hindu groups seem to be involved.
It is only when the story gets big that it cannot be ignored.

Our Jews friends were worried about attacks by islamic radicals
near diwali, Now what is this happening. People transporting the explosives to celebration venue are from majority community.

I was critised very much on that thread for suggesting some times your own govt, through some autonomous organisations, carry out such attacks on own people to generate some International support.
