too much choice, too little decisiveness

Hi I need a little experienced advice

Will be in Goa for only 3 or 4 days in march (13/14 - 16/17).

And the choice is remarkable: Is it feesable to start at one end, and spend a night in a different beach/accommodation every night. We will be flying in from Delhi, and leaving probably via train to Mumbai

Need somewhere which has a nice quiet beach, scenic coastline, good swimming, beach shacks, food, can have a discreet smoke etc BUT is easily located to the Party scenes(beach/hotels).
I wont be getting a motorbike so somewhere where taxis/autos will drop me late at night (i assume)

GoanCanuck (thanks) has already suggested Morjin and Anjuna in a PM. Any other good suggestions welcome.

By the way is it better to just rock up and haggle for a place as I assume it will be quite empty or is this not possible (unlike the rest of india) in which case i may as well book in advance for whatever price is listed

oh yeah will be there during Holi, so that comes into it, want to be in the thick of things, or at least on a rooftop where I can get some good target practice.....

You should be able to comfortably bargain a good price considering that you are going in March.
