To Goa or Not to Goa?

I am a newbie on this board and appreciate all of your insights. Here in India for the first time and am touring around all through the South. Already planning to head to Gokarna and other beaches further south. Frankly speaking, I am a trance lover (very sorry I couldn't see Above & Beyond in December) and want to party in Goa, but all of this bad press has me disillusioned. I am a peaceful partyer and have no ill will toward anyone, but am I wasting my time traveling there? I am not at all interested in bars closing at 11pm and policemen harrassing me and my lady as we walk on the beach or dance. Or people trying to threaten or hurt us in any way. Please give me an honest assessment of the current situation. We plan to be in Goa for the full moon weekend (April 18-21) if people still think it's worthwhile. Thanks for your opinions.

I was just yesterday on the phone with a friend that is in Goa now (we both also trance luvers) and he said that now Arambol (the place where he just moved 2 days ago) is pretty much looking like a ghost city...

But yeah... in any case, this link is worth checking if you wanna know what's going on in the party scene out there:

Darn

That's what I was afraid of. I will wait for some more replies, but I think I will save the money for the 4 days in Goa and apply it to the fortune I will need to spend this summer in Ibiza...Thanks for the quick reply

Don't know anything about the party scene, so can't advise. Follow your heart.
