things to do-goa monsoon period

I am planning on heading down to goa in 2 weeks time and want to know if there is much to do during monsoon period. I know goa is a good place to chill out on the beach catch some rays but with constant rain not being able to swim at the beach I'm not sure what else there is to do. Definately be looking for a place with cable tv if it gets too wet.
any ideas?

I don't think it is a great idea.

Everyone is closed and you might get great food and most good restaurants are closed.

Hi there still a few places open in calangute all the local shops and market plenty of bars but are very quite most of the time a couple of beach shacks are now open all year so you can chill and watch the rain over the sea with a cold beer. Plantain leaf is still open one of the better vegi restuarants plus others although most of the tourist ones are now closed.
