Taxi from Airport

Hi guys new to here and this will be the first of many posts I think.
Going to Goa in Feb and wanted to know cost of taxi from airport down to Cavelossim staying at the Dona Sylvia hotel.

Just registered to ask a very similar question (as well as many others)

Staying at the Haathi Mahal, Mobor, Cavelossim, this October.

Got a bit ripped off in Bali paid two porters about 2 months wage to show us the taxi rank lol

Sure the resorts only use the local taxi for pickups, plus a "surcharge".

Will have to exchange some £ at the airport to pay for the taxi etc. Don't know if there is any advice on this too?

There is a prepaid taxi counter outside the arrivals hall at the airport. The fare to different beaches from the airport is displayed prominently on board at this counter. This counter is the only place in Goa where you are guaranteed not to be ripped off while hiring a taxi because the rates are fixed by the authorities.

Only the taxis which are painted yellow and black operate from the prepaid counter. If you walk outside the airport gate you will find several other taxis which are usually white in colour. These taxis are known as tourist taxis but they are not part of the prepaid scheme. Don't use them.

Yes the taxis you get from the counter are safe since the authorities have records of the taxi number and the driver.
Also in general Goa is safe in terms of taxis but of course there would be some horror stories but then name a place where you can't find one in any part of the world
