Tailors in Goa

Hi peeps, I have some lovely friends coming to Goa for a short holiday while lucky me is off for six months. Since they are on hols they are keen to get some suitings made while in Goa. Any recommendations for good tailors around Calagunte and surrounding areas? Alternatively we intend to visit Old Goa town and Panaji - perhaps the towns might be a better bet? Any recommendations would be great. Ta Noz

ta very much

Cheers for your answer - can you get suit materials in the big towns though? I know the clothes around Anjuna and Calangute will be mainly tie-dye etc but thought that it might be possible to go on a trip to Old Goa or Panaji to get suit material and then use the tailor nearby. Cheers Noz

Mapusa

Hi!
I know that in Mapusa, you will find a great selection of materials along with tailors. Normally all larger fabric shops have connection with a tailor.
Also in Calangute there are several tailors.

hey noz the kind of patterns which i am talking about are not the tye and dye type......these are of course clothes designed for parties - but in plain colour combinations...but i have actually worn the pants (that i've got tailored) to treks in the monsoons....and they were excellent...

on the other hand if suit material is your thing then cant help you there...sorry mate...

good luck with your search
