Swimming with dolphins in Goa

Hello I am coming to Goa on Jan. 29. One of my dreams is to go swimming with dolphins. I saw in Lonely Planet that there are some boat trips organized to see these beautiful creatures. Have anyone tried them? Which one is the best?

Thanks in advance

I'm in Agonda right now, and if other parts of Goa are in any way similar, you will barely be able to walk 10 steps on the beach without being pitched a dolphin boat trip. Seriously, I'm pretty sure there are people here whose only words of English are "you want dolphin trip, sir/madam?"

I haven't been yet, so I'm not sure if you really get to swim with the dolphins or what -- ask about this to make sure.

Swimming with Dolphins is very unlikely.

When we went to see the dolphins we rarely got close to them, though we saw many, where we went was where the river met the sea, never a good place to swim as there are often problems with currents.

Early morning on every beach you can see the dolphins. I used to see so many on Ashuvm .You dont need to pay to see them you just need to get up early.
And they dont look as nice as Flipper .Mind you who would swimming in that sea !

Dolphins in Goa have rough abrasive skin and would cut your skin should one touch you. If you go on a boat trip you would not be able to go over the side and swim with them for this reason.

I stayed at Bogmalo and almost every day at around lunch time we saw dolphins right from the hotel, very close to shore

some actually breached-if that's the right word for dolphins who in sheer exuberance flip completely out of the water

didn't swim next to any though

I actually stayed at the Bogmalo Beach resort and I was quite happy with it

It was January of this year a couple of days after the high season madness in terms of hotel prices ended

Palolem has tons of people asking you if you want to go see dolphins . I found their rates over prices for an hours boat ride.
