Swimming at Palolem/Patnem Beaches?
Swimming at Palolem/Patnem Beaches?
Apologies if this sounds like a daft question. The new wife and I are staying about 10mins drive from Palolem beach at the moment. There are a few beachside huts and cafes open but most aren't up and running yet. We're wondering where can we leave our stuff when we go swimming? Is it safe to just leave it all in a pile on the beach? Reason we ask is that we haven't seen anyone else doing that. There are a few swimmers in the water but they all seem be coming straight out of beachside huts that they're staying in. So is there anywhere that visitors to the beach (i.e. not resident at the beach) can leave their things; maybe somewhere that rents out lockers or has changing rooms?
never had a problem leaving my stuff on the beach in Goa whilst swimming-only from beach dogs sleeping on my towel whilst i'm in the water.
order a coffee/beer at one of the beach shacks and leave your stuff in there whilst in the water for greater security.
must stress i never take any thing valuable onto beach with me and have just enough spending money on me for the day.

Simply hire a sun bed and keep your belongings in one bag/sack and keep over it when you go in water. Just for safer side don’t carry much precious things while going in water.
