Spending Money for 3 weeks holiday

Myself, husband and son, who will be 6 when we travel in Feb 2007, are going to Varca for three weeks. I first went to India in 1998/99 for 6 months so I know that then it was cheap. This time we have booked a 'package' with B&B. How much spendies do you think we should take, we want to take a trip to Hampi and do a bit of short travel in and around Goa, as well as being able to get prezzies and all the things I never got on my first visit. Any advice?

Its better to have too much than too little. Take plenty, and bring the excess home again.

food and drink for 3 will depend on where and what you eat

I ate and drank well on £20 a day so if you budget at £40/day for good quality food you should be ok. Lobster £10 prawn noodles £0.80 and my favourite butterd chicken about £2

just take a few hundred £

and take you credit cards ATMs every where and much safer.
