Should I book internal flights now or wait?

Just found out that my Indigo flight from Goa to Mumbai on the 9th of Feb next year has been 'recheduled' to the 10th of Feb - useless to me as I leave for the UK on the 10th so I had to cancel.

Now I'm left wondering whether its worth rebooking with another airline now, or should I wait until nearere the time to avoid the possibility of this happening again? Advice gratefully received...

Generally you get best Price 20 to 30 days before your schedule travel !
So please wait.

Thanks Pathankot, my concern was whether I'd definately be able to get a flight on the 9th rather than the cost of it. Indigo now say that there are no available flights on the 9th 'probably because they sold out'. I should point out that I made the original booking back in July.

Prices dont get cheaper......sometimes there are some special offers - which cannot be predicted.

If you want to be doubly sure, use clear trip and choose an airline which has got more than one flight on the same day. That way even if there is rescheduling they will accomodate you rather than leave you high and dry.

Thanks Ribhu - that's very useful advice.
I checked Cleartrip as recommended & found the Jet Lite fares are half that shown on Jets own web site. Can I book through Cleartrip from the UK?

Did u check out jetlite's website.....unlikely to have such a huge difference....

Having said that do shop around - cleartrip, makemytrip, et al and then buy.

Talking for myself i've always booked out of the airline websites including jet and have never stumbled across a lower price.

Ribhu thanks! I was stupidly looking at the Jet web site, prices were different on Jetlite.
Sharon, even though I have informed my bank that I will be making payments to India, the transaction still failed - I had to ring Jetlite to complete it.
But the good news is I'm all booked up again... for the time being anyway
Many thanks yet again to those that helped me x

The 9th Feb is a Tuesday and apparently Mumbai airport is closed for runway repairs every Tues PM for the next 5 months.

Ohhh s**t! Thanks for the tip-off Erico, in the article it says 'During the restricted time, only Boeing 737-700, ATR-72-500 and CRJ aircraft can operate' - we're on a 737, so I'm trying not to panic too much just yet.
Think I'd better give them a call...
