Pack them well !!

Hi Jamie,

A couple of my british patients are in the business of buying cheap clothes in Goa and Delhi and then sending them across by Indian registered post. Its very cheap to send it this way.. go to any post office in any town in india and as i hear customs dont really look at a parcel coming in this way in the UK. What they also said was that you must get it packed well ; wooden crates if there are breakable items is a must.

Cheers !

I have shipped boxes with Goan Sausages to Goenkar friends in Sweden, France and to my address in Hong Kong. I have also shipped fabric and handicrafts out of Goa to Hong Kong with no problems whatsoever. I usually get the packing women who hang around the post office to pack the boxes for me. They wrap them in fabric and sew the seams in. Air mail takes 7-10 days and surface mail takes 35-45 days.

These days the custom officers don't have to inspect incoming parcels,
Anything suspect iwill have already been sniffed out by their dogs.

Incidently if you've ever seen these dogs work, you'll never dream of smuggling anything again,,,,,,,,
