The Israeli and Russians form a large part of the tourists that visit Goa. They like to deal with their own kind when it comes to anything illegal, hence the Israeli and Russians have their own "distributors" in place there as there is a lot of money to be made. Israelis dont so much visit Goa as they did a decade ago, but the Russian numbers keep going up each year, so a kind of power struggle is likely from time to time.
Quite a few of these characters were on the Indian Govt. blacklist and were denied Visa's, (namely Israeli's - Hagai, Dudu, Atala ; Russian - Alex) but some have surfaced back again somehow or have brought in new members to take care of business. Almost all are long term residents with business Visa's. A few Temples in these areas have been built paid for by foreigners. Its quite easy actually, just visit the place its quite in the open. They even have a place on the main road that is like a one stop shop. It even used to have a blatant advertising banner across the road in Hebrew. Mind you the local's and Police too are heavily involved in this for a long time from the beginning.

2 seasons ago i was on Baga beach and 2 shacks were having a huge argument over the Jet skis. About 30 guys walked from 1 shack to the other, huge Goan guys in the front. The front guys were not shack owners/workers .I wouldnt have wanted to mess with them. The shack owner said they were the Goan mafia .
The police turned up 10 minutes after it was all over . |

Lately, these stories (if u can call them stories, that is) have started doin' the rounds in Himachal too... Actually, with the cops becomin' slightly proactive in Goa, the places for the Israelis just remain a few... Goa, ofcourse, is always there; but everyones' paranoid and so things are hush hush...
Old Manali and Dharamshala in Himachal and Changspa in Old Leh in Ladakh are the places which have always been in the news... But one small place, in the Spiti region of Himachal, has been almost taken over by the Israelis, when it's season time...! U'll find more Israelis here than even the locals - Pin Valley. Cheers...! |

A few years ago that was what the Nigerians were doing .I know of a business in Goa that has now shut down because of the protection money they were paying on top of the free drinks they were helping themselves to.

Don't know if it helps but globally Israeli drug gangs are known to specialize in synthetic drugs, such as ecstasy. Also, it is known that in Goa synthetic drugs - also frequently called 'party drugs' - are very popular. Also, I advice you drop this topic and not go to Goa to investigate drugs and gangs.
