Accomondation rizes during the peak season wich is in december. What is normally 1500 rs can easily turn into 4000 rs
Outside season i would say you can get some really good rooms for 600-1000 rs a night. Beer is too cheap in Goa, it's ridicously cheap Same goes for meals. I have never taken the bus in goa, im always on a bike or a scooter, and if drunk i'll take a taxi.

^^ if I am not mistaken prices will vary from last year's peak period as due to the terrorist bombings in Mumbai, the tourist numbers in Goa was down to abysmal levels. Infact Prices in December were cheaper than in October last year, as i stayed in Goa in those two months!
Anyways, as My Friend Goo (lol!) mentioned. It is going to be bloody expensive closer to New Years. If it helps, as a budget traveller, I have a 'spend' benchmark of INR 1000 per day for the last week of December! |

December is the peek season in Goa. At Arambol you can easily find out the accommodation between 400-2000 INR per night. If you are staying for longer period then you can find cheap deals. Ask local for long accommodation. Beer will be cheaper as usual. 60 - 80 INR per bottle. An average meal cost you from 100 - 500 per person that depends upon where you have it. On beach side shacks/restaurant, it will be a bit costlier. Regarding transportation, bus fare are very nominal start from 5 to 20 INR. But it is advisable that you take a Scooty or Bike on rent till you stay there as you are staying for long time. Again ask local for it. I am preferring private transport because traveling by bus will take lots of time and buses are usually over-crowded. Cheers, -Nitin
