renting&buying in goa: update?

hi

im an indian born in south africa, a 3rd generation decendant of india, and i am looking at moving to goa with my family by june 2008. i have a 11 yr old and also need a good school.
can someone pls fill me in on rules regarding rent/buying a house? which is better? what are the prices of houses /apts near manovikas or similar school. do u know school rates?

Rules? You really have to do your own homework on this one, but if you are an Indian Citizen, then no problems. If you are a foreigner, but you have Indian forebears, or once held an Indian passport, then, as a pio or holder of OCI or PIO card you can also buy.

Judging from your other posts, wouldn't really advise moving to goa.

From a cash flow perspective, you are better off renting in India. also, just to make sure India agrees with you, it might be smarter to rent for a while before you decide to buy.
