Remote places in Goa

Goa seems to thickly populated in most places you visit. One section of Goa is in tourism zone while the other is in mining zone.

is there any part in Goa where one can enjoy some seclusion in midst of beautiful nature around you ?

There are lots of places in Goa that are very quiet and so beautiful i have a tear in my eyes . You just have to go find the nice places your self. If i mention my best places everyone else will go and it will be awful .

As was said, theres lots of places. Some of the wildlife santuaries, like Cotigao are pretty much empty. You can ride around for miles and miles in nature and never see another person. And waay down south is quiet.

You can try this place which is in the most remote part of Goa, infact on the border.

Yes, i was just gonna mention the Wildernest Resort...We were there last year and it is completely isolated, infact we had to take jeeps to get to the property...And once there, it is totally peaceful and beautiful...

It was definately a nice experience...lotsa creepy crawlers too!!

Yes there still are, far north and far south, get a scooter or bike and go explore, you will find your special secret spot. I'll tell you, when you do find your remote place you will not tell us and I know there are a bunch of IMers on here who ain't gonna tell where their's are LOL

Thanks, my native place is on the border with Mh so I have visited both Wilderness and Amboli as well and enjoyed these places.....

I was thinking of exploring on the eastern side of Goa, near Karnataka border.

Hi TracyB and riws76,

My partner and I want to visit Wildernest resort this February. I am quite adventurous, but my partner isn't (and I am the woman, he's the man ) We are staying there for one night.

He does not want to carry his bags for a long time, so I was wondering whether you advice on leaving our larger bags somewhere else (in our previous hotel in Anjuna for example) and just take stuff with us for a night.

I would prefer just bringing our bags as we can directly move on to the next location (south Goa) instead of returning to where we came from to get our bags.

Could you give me your advice? Would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
