I have been looking at posts on a British Ex Pats forum regarding real taxi fares. Suggestion by the ex pats is that regular tourists like myself, pay way over the odds on most things in Goa. Whilst the cost is cheap as chips to us, apparently we cause an issue in as much that we encourage the restaurants, taxis, bars etc, to hike their prices, purely because they get away with it. I can see their point, and so was wondering how much a taxi one way should really cost from Candolim to Palolem? Any feed back would be appreciated.

Yeah well it might cost less than what you are being asked to pay - but so what, unless your strategy for paying less is accepted by the taxi driver you will have to pay what is asked, catch 22 or summink eh!.

Personally i couldn't give an f for what anyone else pays as long as i'm happy with what i've paid, otherwise walk eh!

As I said, no problem with costs that I have paid in the past, thought it was an interesting point raised by ex pats. If you read closely, it is not me that is duly concerned or that bothered about rising costs and my spend wont make for a price hike. Magnamonious? Righteous? Hardly. Thanks for the input tho chaps.
