There is a place in Candolim called " Chocolati " which has some of the most beautiful chocolates you have ever tasted. Check it out and have one on me as well !!

That's not chocolate..........it's confectionary. I found a choc called Beryl today but it was 42grams for 60rupees! 59% cocoa solids, so it's getting to chocolate. ![]()

If you want "proper" chocolate the best you're going to get is the imported Lindt stuff. It's the best dark chocolate in mass production.
Don't know about Goa but in Jaipur you can find it in the Big Shoppers adn another shop near the station. Always check the import date and production date - if it's more than a few months old or it's been in India too long it's probably got a white bloom all oer it and not worth eating. As far as I'm concerned 85% is a bit ott. 70% or roundabouts hits the spot quite nicely. |

Lindt chocolate can be found here in Chennai ---at about GBP2 a bar
![]() The white bloom on chocalate comes, I think, from having been heated and cooled again. It doesn't make it uneatable, but I don't think it tastes as good.
