There is an air India flight from Goa to Delhi (7:25-10:55) and a Delhi to Agra 11:15 - 11:50.
This is cutting things a bit close. If you can do it, there is a return flight to Delhi around 5 PM I don't think it will be very cheap. You can download a complete schedule (more or less) from the air india web site. |

you'll never make that Agra flight. Hire a car from airport to Taj and back- about 3 hrs each way, mas o menos

Many flights in North India right now are being cancelled, delayed and re-scheduled because of considerable fog.
Also, Delhi is very cold (about 14C daytime/5C at night) so you will need warm clothing to do this.

Such a bore since the Taj is one of the least things to see in the Agra area but then you cah make a mark on the check off list..

I just returned from a day/night trip by car to Agra from Delhi and I would never ever advise anyone to do it especially in the Winter.
It is 200 KM and it takes at least four hours. The traffic is terrible at times. If the fog descends as it did when I did it, it can get so thick that you can barely see the side of the road. I had to teach my driver to use his flashing lights. Curiously, everyone honks their horns when they pass on the right, but when they pass on the left as was necessary because all the trucks would stay on the right, they never used the horn. Besides the various cows and other animals that cross the road - a nice four lane highway, there are many farm vehicles with no rear lights and the assorted accidents. I saw two on the way when the fog was fairly light. Just getting out and into Delhi was an ordeal. Not mention that there were at least two stops to pay taxes as you enter another state which takes a lot of time. I figured that you are lucky if the average speed is 60 km per hour although at night it could be a lot faster if you don't mind the cows, etc. By all means take the train. |
