IM going to be in Palolem from 24th Nov until 4th Dec. Can someone advise a good spot to stay? Id prefer an ensuite place, and a reasonable price. also...is it worth booking in advance? is it a v busy period

It will be busy but the Christmas rush won't have started when you arrive. I suggest you just pitch up and see what suits you and your budget, Ensuite rooms go for around 250 onwards these days in Palolem but equally some places will ask for a lot more, expect an average price of around 350 a night!
Bhau Cottages or Mamoos both have rooms for around this price.
As I say get there, book in somewhere for the nigh,t and take a look around. Palolem has so much accomodation and such a wide variety of styles/prices it's better if you check the situation out for yourself!

Happy Traveling

I would like to find a hut on/near the beach with hot water and western toilet, etc in Palolem 19-21 of December. From what I've been reading on this forum, there seems to be a lot of places to stay on the beach in Palolem. But the time I plan to be there seems to be the busiest of the year, being so close to Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations to book in advance or should I just show up and see what I can find?

Better book!

We will go to Agonda at that time and even there it seems to be fully booked. We found rooms only by calling and because we stayed there for long last year, or else very difficult.

So book by calling for ex.:
Ciaran's camp (he had some vacancy before Christmas)phone: 2643477 (don't know the code for Palolem, though) his mail is: johnciaran@hotmail.com

Palolem guesthouse: 2644880, palolemguesthouse@hotmail.com (not sure the e-mail works though)

Bhakti Kutir: 2643472 , www.bhaktikutir.com

Cozy nock : 2643550

Hope it will help!

The trouble is, that the places that CAN be booked at this time usually are (phone numbers, email addresses etc)...

However, there are a huge amount of places (in Palolem) that simply can't as they have no contact details.. And these places never quite know who is staying when, and for how long.. And therefore accommodation should always be available even if you arrive on the day. And it can even depend on what time of day you arrive

Have fun

This is what i want I read when i came thru same Question because im also thinking to stay over there in Palolem with my freind,

once u get down to palolem.. u need to walk around the beach.. n u'll find kind of accommodation tht ur looking for.u dont need to do any advance booking for palolem.
Dont plan ahead, walk along the beach and you'll find some. If you want more quite go over the rocks o the south (10 minute walk) and you'll and much quietier beach with good places to stay,

Hi Adventurer,

Can you tell me what the names of those places are (that are over the rocks). Is Neptune Point one of them?
