Place to Stay in Goa?

Hello,
I am planning on visiting Goa in early January. Any recommendations on a mid-range hotel or resort?

friends of mine are staying there in april it will be there second visit,they say it is first class but not cheap.

The Taj Exotica in Benaulim is the best hotel in Goa and also the most expensive. The Taj Holiday Village is in Sinquerim and it too is a nice facility although not as good as the Taj Exotica. I thought you wanted a list of mid-range hotels. The Taj hotels in Goa are not mid range hotels by any stretch of the imagination.

If you wish to stay in central Panjim, either try Hotel Fidalgo or Nova Goa, both very good hotels with an average of INR 2000 per night.
