Pedro Guest House Any Good? Seeking Nice, Cheap Accomodations in/near Calangute, Goa

Hi,

I'm looking for cheap, but nice accommodations in Calangute or nearby in Goa for mid-late October.

Someone recommended this below--has anyone stayed there? Is it any good?
Clean, safe, nice environs, etc.? Please advise or recommend other low-end, high-value digs.

Next to Golden Eye, Gaura Vaddo,
Calangute.

In late Jan 2007, I stayed in one of the guest houses just behind golden eye hotel. I don't remember the name. I feel that it's better to go there and check for the guest houses. I expect plenty of them to be available as mid-late october is still start of the season..

hope not late in replying! I have stayed here a couple of times last year. The family who owns the guest house are very warm and friendly. All the rooms they have offer only basic amenities but that is good enough for pretty much any body!! (Though the small room they have which is a standalone hut doesn't have hot water facility so u need clarify that first if hot water is needed!). But besides that not a bad place atall, chill out, do what you want and just enjoy ur stay there!
