Patnem - having troubles getting accom.
Hi all,
I’m arriving on Patnem beach, Goa on the 27th December for a week and have been emailing loads of accommodation there to book something, but either I get a response saying they are fully booked or they say only their most expensive huts are available… Our train arrives at 5am from Kerala – should we just look for something on the day? Or is this risky? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks |

Patnem is small so if you want to stay there then perhaps book, if you don't mind another beach close by (agonda or Palolem) then you might be able to just 'wing it'. I've always found somewhere to stay all year round, but I might just be the lucky one, sometimes it has taken a long hard search (i don't like paying more than 3 or 4 hundred!!!
Best of luck

thanks Rob - by chance do you remember the names of the one's you have stayed at in the past? we would consider starting in patnem then making our way to Palolem/Agonda if needed.
thanks! |

patnem rooms
no, don't believe Seaview and don't stay there if you can avoid it. the rooms are nice but the owners are pretty miserable. the vast majority of Patnem accommodation is not bookable in advance so those places that are tend to get booked. the 27th is slap bang in the middle of the middle of the busy season so everyone pushes up the prices. you'll get somewhere if you just tip up. my advice would be to go and have a cup of tea at Bob's chai shop at the end of the "beach road." ask around there and you'll get something.
have fun |
