Patnem Accommodation

Hi,
Can anyone recommend anywhere to stay in Patnem? We will be there for 5 nights from 29th December. It seemed like it wasn't possible to book most places so we were going to just turn up, but now I'm getting worried about not being able to find anywhere.

Home will only take bookings of a minimum of 10 days.

Goyam Bungalows costs 2500Rp which is more than we want to pay.

Parvati Huts is the only other place with a website I have found. Huts with private bathroom are 2000Rp. We could stretch our budget to this, but I'm not sure it looks like it is worth the money. Has anyone stayed there?

So, any other recommendations that we could book?
Do you think we should pay the extra for Parvati or Goyam or will we have a chance of finding somewhere when we turn up?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

It does not make much difference whether you stay in Patnem or Palolem. The beaches are very close. Spend the day in Patnem and spend the night in Palolem.

Hi Erin

We're going on 28th December. Prefer to stay at Patnem as quieter, but have fun at Palolem! Was hoping to book Goyam, but does seem a bit pricey. But we need three bungalows for two weeks, so hope a friend out there will get us a good deal. Should know next week and will report back if interested?
Is "Home" any cheaper?

Patnem

If you could report back that would be great.
I didn't get a price from Home as they were booked up. I have now found out that Parvati Huts is booked too, so that isn't an option.

So it's a choice of Goyam or just turning up!

Hi Erin#

Not sure how much this will help. Got a friend in Palomen who sorts out electrics and music for some of the shacks. One is Casa Fiesta on Patnem. He is going over tomorrow to check out beds for us. Not sure, but Casa seems to be one of the genuine drop in places. They run a restaurant on the Palomen/Patmen main strip, but also have a cafe and shacks on patnem beach itself.

Liked the look of Goyam, but with five of us (me, two kids and partners) looking for cheaper options.

Will report back as soon as......

Hello, could I ask how you got hold of Home, I'm getting no answer to my emails?

I got a reply a few weeks ago from home.patnem@yahoo.com

The first email I sent a few months ago didn't get a reply. So maybe keep trying.

Home only take bookings for 10 days minimum during high season.

I have just found out that Goyam are now fully booked up. So looks like we will just have to turn up and see.

Friend went down to Patnem Wednesday and saw the manager at Goyam. Was told they were only taking bookings by internet! So possibly not booked up, but waiting to see if they can hike their prices up nearer the time.

Casa doesn't have their shacks up yet and with no internet site, no bookings taken yet. Will wait and get rooms there, can't be bothered playing games with Goyam.

Hi,
I'm in Patnem at the moment. Huts are just starting to be built. Home is already there on the beach. We are staying just a couple of minutes walk from the beach at sea view, although this isn't huts. They have rooms at 250,400 and 700 (offseason). Don't know the phone number at the moment though.

Hope you're having a great time in Patnem Lizzie - I've got 8 weeks to wait How's the weather?

Goyam finally answered their mail and - on 15th October, said they were just starting to take bookings. Wanted 3000IR for the sea facing bungalows and 2500IR or 2000IR for the others. Outside my budget and thought over priced. Booked Casa Fiesta, don't think they've got their huts up yet, behind the mexican shack, but seen pics of last year. 1000 - 1500IR high season.

Don't have a contact number, but same people as run Casa resturant on the Palolem / Patnem road.
