Parties in Goa?

I have heard through the grapevine that the police in north Goa - Vagator, Anjuna, Shapora - did not let any rave parties happen over the New Years in 2005/2006. Is this true? Will there be parties this year?

Yes, what you heard is true. Whether any parties are held this winter remains to be seen.

Just the usual half-hearted attempts at clamping down psy parties during the New Year eve.Nothing more.There were parties going on in full swing right from November.Although the venues shifted from Hilltop,9 Bar,Disco Valley to places like Curly's,Shiva Valley,Dolce Vita etc and along north Arambol stretch.
Here is a sample of some of the parties from 26th Dec- 3rd Jan 2006:-
Shiva Valley - 26th Dec - was still going strong on 27th night
28th - Dolce vita/Curly's
29th - Shivasati
New years eve party at Hilltop, Keri beach,Monkey Valley, Banyan tree...and few more
2nd at Morjim or thereabouts
3rd at Sweet lake, Arambol

Does anyone know when the Carnivale party in Goa will be held next year? I heard it's in February, but which days?

Hi Ime going to goa in dec how much should i bring for 2 months going to travel to minali as well.

Yes it will be held in February, I think around the 25th... I cant access www.goacom.com at the moment, but the info should be there...
