Has anybody sent a small 25cms by 15cms ( at the most ) parcel from Goa to UK, and if so, can they please inform me how long it takes to arrive ( approx. ) to the UK?

The weight is probably about 3/400 grms.

Many thanks in advance.

Someone informed me that it would be safer to get an Indian person to post it for you and I can believe this to be true, as I have had 2 mobile phones posted to me from the UK not arrive at the P.O. at Anjuna, even though Stanley who works there is a very charming man.

Have had no problems with Goa to UK. Always use Siolim PO as its walking distance from our house and for some reason a lot of the reps from Cal/Can come up here to post their clients postcards as they think its safer! Time-wise, assuming this went airmail, 8-10 days, but we did have one that took 3 weeks.
Coming from UK to Goa? Avoid if possible. I think we are running a less than 50% success rate so far. We only use this service(sic) for low value iems that we "fancy" having here. Sadly the dishonest element within the Indian Postal Service seem to assume that nothing particularly valuable will be leaving India, but that anything coming in is worth a look. Even envelopes that are a little thicker than normal will probably not make it, the assumption being that there is money inside? We sent five letters from UK with a few photos in them and only one arrived. Time taken for mail to arrive from UK seems to be on average 50% longer.
We had one postcard from my aunt that went from UK to Indonesia (obviously put in wrong slot) and was then sent back to Goa from there. It arrived six weeks after posting!
