hey thanks for replies..yes ofcourse! little italy was yummy thanks for the reminder but i seem to remember the atmosphere was a bit lacking at Dropodi. i'm thinking of having a party for a friend when i get there for about 20 people and would really like it to be special....cant imagine that at dropodi but maybe little italy....or a place with a view....?? any ideas.
I agree about the atmosphere at Dropodi!..I went there when I fancied being on my own as no one really spoke much. Cuba is pretty good for parties..they are always up for one!
http://www.cubagoa.com/Cuba_Beach_Cafe.asp ..the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was wicked
When are you heading to Palolem? I'm going on the 28th October for the whole season..cannot wait!!

For a really yummy place......you should try Cheeky Chapatti's in Palolem, on the main street. The couple who run it are brilliant and the food is excellent, the Kerelean curry is dangerously addictive! Also, the Wobbly Wood cafe at the Colm end of Patnam beach would be fantastic for a bit of a party, have fun, am sooo envious. Cheeky Chapatis is good and also the mexican next door, Casa Fiesta.. They have stunning cheap cocktails!
Their deadly nacho's are lovely....

by the way my boyfriend remembers that its 'magic italy' that was
the good italian run by italians and 'little italy' being the the locals trying to cash in on the reputation...are you sure you mean little italy??

Magic Italy is the best Italian, - (Little Italy is not good at all), try the butter sage ravioli in Magic Italy. Cheeky Chapati's also do a great Sunday Roast dinner in the evening if you are feeling homesick and their normal menu is great any night of the week. The Wobbly Wood cafe has a great view right over Patnem and Ragbhag Beaches. 'Home' on Patnem is the perfect place for brunch and salads, try Patnem's 'Secret Garden' at the top of beach road for an evening drink and food in a beautiful setting and the Tapas Bar (can't remember it's actual name) in Colum for the most amazing steak and chips! HOWZAT??
pop quiz
Yes I agree about the food at Magic Italy. But if you want something healthy and different I would opt for Cheeky Chapati (bought some chilli jam there as a present for my family back home) - they loved it.
I remember the cafe on the hill - amazing views of the beach and a nice place for sunset drinks

and extra
Also when I was last visiting Palolem they had a bit of a pub/pop quiz running at cheeky's - a bit of a laugh if you are into music
