Palolem / Patnem decent accommodation for Rs 400 - 500??

planning to visit Palolem & Patnem around November 12th.

Looking for accomodation prefrably on the beach or sea facing, hut or a cottage, with attached toilet for maximum Rs 500, preferred 400 Rs, per day for a couple.

Have gone through the recomendation, but were either too expensive or not very good enough or may be i am not able to trace the right ones.

Same, with the Baga, somewhere around 400 to 500 Rs per day for a couple. Though have been twice to Goa, but the places we stayed before, either their numbers have changed or thier tariff's are soaring.

There are several guesthouse in the lane opposite La calypso. Anybody here in Indiamike been there or any contact numbers??. There is one opp. Hotel Luva Nova.

Any help appreciated

Just came back from Palolem today. Stayed in a beach side shack for 600rs. There are lots of places in Palolem for your budget. Go there and check out yourself.

I have been twice to goa & know that once i reach there I can find an accomodation.

But at the same would prefer to book an accomodation, recommended by fellow IM'ers. Have always done so in the past wherever travelled in India.

Moreover, after a long journey, lagguage & with wife along, it make sense to keep a accomodation handy.

I read your blog & dont wanna be disappointed to see good ones to be already full.

Did you by chance visit the guest house opposite Luva Nova, adjoining that bike repair shop?? I have stayed previously for good room for just 400 Rs.

How was experience at om stay or was it om sai guest house??

Did you happen to check any of the following

Hi tide Coco huts
Bridge & Tunnel
la Raja Little village
Abel Cressida beach huts

or anyother that you find was worth staying but was full or booked??

Nope..Did not check out the place opposite Luva Nuva.

It was Om Stays not Om Sai guest house. It is a bit inside the road opposite Maria guest house. It is a line of tiled huts. Very basic but neat. Some of the huts had tv and hot water some did not. It is not right on the beach. 10 minutes walk to beach. I have that guys no if you are interested.

I saw a board in Neptune Point saying Bridge and Tunnel but most of the huts there were under construction. So I do not know whether that place is open or not. We just saw two places and took the second one. It was a raised hut and was creaking all the time. Water used to get logged in the bath room and voltage used to fluctuate like crazy. But it was right on the beach. Maybe if we had searched more we could have got a better place but we were okay with anything. I have this guys no if you are interested.
