Palolem or Vagator?
Hi we are looking at spending 2 weeks in Goa, and have narrowed down the accommodation to either Oceanic Hotel in Palolem or Leoneys Resort in Vagator.
Firstly has anyone been to these places, and if so what are their comments. Leoleys looks great on the webpages, but doesnt say much about the location of it. Secondly we want a chill out beach and swim in ther sea, but also want to be able to do lots of acitvities such as paragliding, etc. What is Vagator beach like, I hear Palolem is great, but quiet. Also how wasy is it to go up to the busy beaches from Palolem for day trips to do activities. Also how far is Angonda beach from both Palolem and Vagator? ![]() |

Leoney resort is about a 5 minute walk from Little Vagator beach. Very good location.
From Palolem you can hire a motorcycle and go to the other parts of Goa although it is a long ride. From Palolem the capital city of Panaji is about 65 kms and Calangute/Baga/Candolim beaches are around 80-90 kms. Palolem does not have any water sports facilities, the best place for these activities is http://niws.nic.in/. Agonda beach is about 7kms from Palolem and about 82 kms from Vagator. |
