When I first visited Palolem what struck me the most was the relative flatness of the beach as compared to other beaches. |

So the consensus seems to be : reach Canacona. Land up at Patnem or Palolem ( Both are the same distance from Chuadi). Walk up or down and see things for yourself! Cool!!
Now here is my next poser: Choose 5 beaches in Goa and rank them 1 to 5 considering everything. No if, no or. Here goes: Palolem Colva Majorda Anjuna Candolim |

We spent some time in Agonda in mid December and found it very quiet. We spent the day in Palolem a few times just to experience a bit of life! But both beaches were said to be quieter than usual this year. We also had less hassle in Agonda than anywhere else we went in India.

Well, I am in Patnem now and after visiting Palolem yesterday I most definitely say that Patnem is much, much nicer. Palolem seemed a little too crowded for what we wanted. Patnem is perfect - lovely beach, good food!, nice and quiet - but it still has a (chilled) atmosphere.

So after the high(est) season, at what level are the beach huts in Palolem priced at, now, and in late Jan or mid Feb.
Agonda seems to be gaining popularity. One recent visitor said you get twice as much beach and half as many people, than Palolem. Comments? |
