Look, officially its peak monsoon for the next few weeks. No-one can tell you what the weather will do on any particular day, its pot luck. We could get a load of rain for the next ten days, or very little. We could get sunny spells, or not. Even different parts of Goa get wildly different amounts of rainfall. I wish I had experienced the weather that Laman from Madras reports, as in our bit of North Goa it has been bucketting down!
For many weeks during monsoon, those of us that live here have to react to the weather we are given. If it stops for a while we go out and shop for food. If it rains hard non-stop for two days, we stay inside.
Anyone who gives yu a mini-picture of the weather at any point in time is wasting their breath...........it will change, thats what monsoon is all about!

Last two days is better, not the whole day rain, just now and than. Quite nice.

Don't know the hotel but the restaurants in the area are the usual ones: Lloyds, Travel Bar, Waves, Mango Tree, Cavale.

Search the Goa forum on India Mike and you will find more info on all this.

Today there have been on and off showers, when it rains, it tends to pour, it had been nice all morning so decided to chance it on the bike, got to Mapusa, started to come back and whoosshh! Nipped into a few shops, 15 mins later, nice and dry again, went on my way...

Most of the places are closed, but still theres many bars and places to go to...

Im telling you how is the situation now... but after few weeks, no idea... for sure I will be here to see it myself
Thanks for your reply bebinca. I am coming there this 24th so bit excited about it. I like rain but it should not rain whole day. Are there any Beach Shacks open this monsoon?

Beach shacks close up for monsoon, and for non tourist season.
Well, they were closed last year anyway.

Hey Johnny

Can you tell me what the weather will be like next Thursday at 11:16am? I'm thinking about heading down but my left sandal has got a hole in the sole and I wouldn't want to get my foot wet.

Thanks in advance.

And let me guess, there are six of you, wanting to see the whole of Goa in three days and spend all night, every night a parties and nightclubs?
