Mandrem beach, Dunes waddo village is the best place in Norh Goa. Room rate 500-700 Rs per night is possible in guesthouses in October-November.

I agree, Mandrem is the most relaxing place in Goa, Dunnes resort is quite nice, although basic.

Mandrem beach is nice and quiet, but there's really not much social life.
I would go to the south to either Agonda or Patnem where theres more opportunities to meet other people. Or Colomb, a liitle cove just north of Patnem is ideal also. |

I stayed at Poonam Guesthouse - Anjuna for 2 days before I rented my house. The rates are between 500-800 rs depending on the room you like (ac, hot water etc).
There are not many bug free clean room offers that is close to main attractions. So this one is good to be a sample of them. |
