Question Need a fast and good advice where to stay at this weekend

Hey everybody...

Sorry for this a little bit rude and demanding threadtitel but i have question to be answered as fast as possible...

Me and my girlfriend booked a flight to goa from friday to sunday...

We would like to find a nice beach, wich is not far away from the airport, offers some possibilties to quench the upcoming hunger and where we can stay in some kind of nice (maybe rainproof) bamboo house wich is near the beach?

I would be so glad if anybody of you have some suggestions for me...

Tanxs for your reply in advance!

if you can specify a budget or range then members would find it easier to recommend..

it would be nice if the destination is not more than 1 hour (by car or bus) away from the airport. the question about the budget is not that easy. i dont wont to sleep within a five star hotel...something nice and simple is more than enough for me.

Hi, we are on Palolem beach about 1.5hr by a couple of buses from the airport but they are easy to negotiate (maybe 1000r by taxi, the airport has a prepay shack outside). There are maybe 10-15 restaurant shacks open still on the beach, quite a few people, and quite a few beach shacks (not anything like in peak season but plenty to be going on with and have a nice relaxed time). You can easily walk to the beach and find a hut you like the look of for the right price (ours is 500r a night and is a bit posher than most!). We were at Anjuna which has 4-5 shacks still open but they were closing fast so we left. Most locals reckon no monsoon for a couple of weeks yet. Hope this helps.
