Hi everyone,
Does anybody know if the old train that used to go to Goa over the mountains is still available. I remember the view when you came down through the pass and near the waterfall somewhere. When I was last there, someone said that they were going to do away with this line as it wasn't safe. What happened, anyone know? |

It's still going strong.
Do a search in the Goa forum (I think) for a thread about Dudhsagar falls, there's a ot of info in that thread about the line. The train to Hospet (for Hampi) uses the route, as does the Goa Express from Delhi (and passes close to Mumbai).

Thanks, all I've got to find now is someone on the train to tell me when to look right and left. The last time I was there some local guy who new the place told me, I hope there's someone there this time.
