Hey ppl...Looking to explore 2 places en route to Goa wid a nite or 2 at each dest...Suggestions wid hotel info will be really helpful...Cheers!

When I did drove this around 10 years ago, we had overnight stops in Murud-Janjira and then again around Ratnagiri. The fort was especially impressive! Can't help with the hotel I'm afraid. I actually think we camped!

Ganapatipule Beach/ Temple - MTDC Beach Resort
Mahabaleshwar - detour of 35 kms one way from Pholadpur after Mahad, many hotel choices

Anyone tried driving down to goa in 1 day? sunrise to sundown?

I am planning to do exactly dat - I guess 600KMs would require close to 14-15 hours of driving. So looking for inputs on the road n all ...

I'm planning to take the following route from Mumbai to Goa.
Powai - Govandi - JuiNagar - Nerul - Panvel - Alibag - Kashid - Kolad - Mahad - Poladpur - Chiplun - Daploi - Harnai - Sangameshwar - Nelka Phatka - Goa

I'm planning to cover this trip over 2 days. Talking a halt at Chiplun.
