1971 Ferry from Bombay to Panjim
There was ferry - I took in early January 1971from Bombay to Panjim. It was right after the time Timothy Leary was supposed to appear in Goa(when he was a wanted man) The cost was equivalent $2.30 US. That was for a deck ticket - the cheapest. It took 23 hours. It was a highlight after mushing through the snows of Eastern Turkey and Ramadan in Iran back into snows Afhganistan to come into the tropical paradise of Goa (before the tourists found it) was heaven on earth.
